We are looking to form a new motor club for North Yorkshire, we are holding a club night every last wed of the month at the Hambleton room Leeming Bar Motel at 8 pm , We have over 150 members on facebook already.The idea of the club is to attract motorsport enthusiasts from the all over North yorkshire not just rallying but rallycross,grasstrack stock car racing etc.You do not have to be a competitor to join just have a genuine love of motorsport.We have approached the Msa and recieved the forms to have the club MSA affiliated.This is a ideal oppurtunity for you to join a club that supports the whole of North Yorkshire.The basis is of the club is for social nights where members from other clubs can come along and all meet up socially.The first club social night which was held in Febuary attracted just short of 50 people.The next club night is on March the 4 th.

Many thanks to those that attended the Committee formation meeting for The North Yorkshire Motor Sports Social Club, held at Leeming Motel on Wednesay 10th March 2010.

This was a very successful evening, and we now wish to introduce the Committee as follows:-

Chair - Jonathan Bean
Vice Chair - Nigel Keen
Treasurer - Paul Atkinson
Secretary - Kari Bosworth
Publicity Officer - Larry Carter

Management Committee - Jonathan Charless, Dan Kennedy, Glen Workman, Kevin Hare, Jim Finalyson, Phil Andrews & Andy Chalmers

During this meeting, it was agreed that we would meet on the last Wednesday of each month, and generally at Leeming Motel. It is our intention to organise varying social events for each meeting and would also welcome any suggestions you have.

We would now like to invite you to attend the first official meeting of the North Yorkshire Motor Sport Social Club, to be held on Wednesday 31st March 2010, at Leeming Motel.

Membership fees - Single £15.00, Joint £20.00 & 21's and under FOC, and membership forms will be available on the night.

This evening will include an evening of local motorpsort footage, and anyone wishing to bring along their own dvd is most welcome. There will be an opening introduction & an opportunity to meet the Commitee.

We will also be holding an open forum with the Commitee for any questions / suggestions you may have.

A further reminder will be sent nearer the time, but please come along and support the North Yorkshire Motor Sport Social Club.

Just to remind everyone that the first meeting of the NORTH YORKSHIRE MOTOR SPORTS SOCIAL CLUB, is taking place on WEDNESDAY 31ST MARCH at LEEMING MOTEL 8.00 P.M.

During this evening there will be a short opening speech setting out the intentions of the club, based on the feedback forms received last month.

Also, an introduction to the current Committee. We would welcome any other interest from people wanting to join the Committee.

We will be holding a question and answer open forum for all members to raise any queries or make suggestions for future club nights. There will also be post-it notes for people to make suggestions and place on a notice board.

We will also be showing local motorpsort coverage, and would be grateful to anyone wishing to bring along their own DVD's or Vidoes to be played during the evening.

WE REALLY DO NEED YOUR SUPPORT, SO PLEASE TRY AND COME ALONG ON THE 31ST MARCH, 8.00 P.M. - LEEMING MOTEL.
