De-Lacy Motor Club Ltd and the organising team for this event would like to welcome you to the first running of its “De Lacy Spring Stages”.

This new rally on the local motorsport calendar is open to all two wheel drive vehicles only. It is because of this that we have pleasure in welcoming our colleagues from the Peugeot and BMW championships to Yorkshire.

Invitations have been sent to the local motor sport associations, ANCC, ANEMMC and EMAMC, for competitors marshals and officials. We the organisers hope that you enjoy your day’s sport, and we look forward to seeing you at the prize giving, good luck and good rallying.

What Pat said ....

This tough tight single venue was the opener for the crews, the 1st stage saw a shock as Young Mat/Daz Smith not only led the 205s but the Rally OVERALl!!! Closely followed by Stobarts Kris Hall/Ella Flynn.

The power cars were languishing after the 1st stage. The top 2 stayed there for a long time until the stages opened up and the power boys could stamp their mark. A shock retirement was Fairbairn/Miller whose BMW left the road at High speed, the 2006 Champions unhurt.

New boy Adam Trapp had a huge crash in his 205, but was released from Hull general after a check over, a new car is being built though.

Phil Littlewood/Steve Ritchie were flying in the BMW but were being caught by Ciro Carannante/Claire Renn, Phil refused to buy new tyres and relinquished the lead to the flying Ciro!!!

In the 1400 Class Rob Russell/Lee Baverstock won comfortably but Chris Wiseman/Ben Cressey took a fine 2nd, with Chris Cooper/Pete Weston taking 3rd. Some great stage times came from Daz Jones/Andy Morgan, Andy Chalmers, Craig Baker/Paul Briggs too. 1400s looks strong this year.

So Mat/Daz Smith took 1st 205, Kris/Ella took 2nd, with Andy Davison/Dan Mayo 3rd with John Lloyd/Chris williams 4th, Scottish Champions, Robbie Pearson/Ewan Leeming 5th, returnees Craig Pearce/Rob Humble 6th.
